Nitrogen Fertilizer and Nitrapyrin for Greenhouse Gas Reduction in Wolfberry Orchards on the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau

نویسندگان

چکیده

Wolfberry production has become a major agro-industry on the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau, causing increased nitrogen (N) pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Appropriate N fertilizer rate nitrification inhibitors may mitigate GHG emissions improve use efficiency. A 2-year field experiment was conducted to measure effects of application nitrapyrin emissions, reduce pollution. We used eight treatments: Control (CK), 667 kg·ha−1 (Con), 400 (N400), 267 (N267), 133 (N133), plus 2.00 (N400I2.00), 1.33 (N267I1.33) 0.67 (N133I0.67). Compared with Con treatment, N400 maintained fruit yield net income, but saved 40% decreased cumulative N2O emission by 14–16%. N400, N267 N133 treatments, N400I2.00, N267I1.33 N133I0.67 treatments reduced 28.5–45.1%, 26.6–29.9% 33.8–45.9%, respectively. Furthermore, N400I2.00 resulted in highest wolfberry income. The CH4 CO2 were not significantly different among treatments. Moreover, global warming potential (GWP) intensity (GHGI) declined 45.6% 48.6% compared treatment. Therefore, combined shown be promising management technique for maintaining while minimizing GWP GHGI.

Biochar and nitrogen fertilizer alters soil nitrogen dynamics and greenhouse gas fluxes from two temperate soils.

Biochar (BC) application to agricultural soils could potentially sequester recalcitrant C, increase N retention, increase water holding capacity, and decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Biochar addition to soils can alter soil N cycling and in some cases decrease extractable mineral N (NO and NH) and NO emissions. These benefits are not uniformly observed across varying soil types, N ferti...

The feasibility for replacement of urea with nitrogen nano-chelated fertilizer in olive (Olea europaea L.) orchards

Nitrogen is an important element in the life of a plant. A wide range of nitrogen-containing compounds is available in the world market, with different formulations and efficiencies. Urea is present in most fertilizer applications; however, nano-nitrogen products are becoming popular although there is only limited information on their field efficiency. Thus, this paper studied the foliar applic...

Greenhouse gas emissions from two soils receiving nitrogen fertilizer and swine manure slurry.

The interactive effects of soil texture and type of N fertility (i.e., manure vs. commercial N fertilizer) on N(2)O and CH(4) emissions have not been well established. This study was conducted to assess the impact of soil type and N fertility on greenhouse gas fluxes (N(2)O, CH(4), and CO(2)) from the soil surface. The soils used were a sandy loam (789 g kg(-1) sand and 138 g kg(-1) clay) and a...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...
